The following bank of classroom-friendly web sites is a treasure
trove for connecting science and math in activities and lessons.
They have been carefully reviewed and selected for their
applicability to Project MAIS SMART. Many are already in lesson plan
format and are ready for use. Others offer opportunities
for adaptation to fit unique needs of individual teachers. The
bottom line is that collectively they include thousands of activity
ideas for teaching linked science/math to students from early
childhood levels through grade six. Many have been designed by
classroom teachers. So, if you are looking for activities for
children to learn more about the human body, magnetism, or animals
and plants, you’ll find them here. If you are looking for ideas for
teaching probability, classification, weather, or the solar system,
you’ll find them here. If you are looking for lesson applications
for kids to learn about number operations, problem solving, or data
analysis, you’ll find them among the lessons in these web sites.
