Definitions
Science: the process of manipulating, observing, thinking, and
reflecting on actions and events through inquiry, science process
skills, investigations, questioning, and constructing reasonable
explanations for questions posed.
Mathematics: the ability to deal comfortably with the fundamental
notions of numbers and chance, and the ability to judge the
reasonableness of answers resulting in number sense and general
mathematical literacy.

Language Arts: the building of process links among reading,
writing, speaking, listening, viewing, and visually representing to
transfer knowledge, skills, and strategies across literacy events
and subject specific contexts (esp. math and science). |
